It has been almost four years that I established and started to work in my own ceramics workshop in Gyergyócsomafalva (Ciumani, Hr/RO), bringing the custom of working with clay to a region where this kind of activity was not present in the past. I produce trinketry and articles for personal use, as well as jewels made of ceramics together with my husband, Elemér. In our workshop every item is hand-made, by traditional techniques, although the ornamentation of these does not follow the one used in folk art. We decorate them according to our own ideas, our imagination. I usually use several proceedings from the traditional pottery but these serve only as means and tools to the development of my own style.

Regarding the devotion and attachment to my profession I have reached the level of practicing it as a full-time job, a hobby in my spare time and even a seller on the craftsmen’s fairs. Maybe this is already an enough tight connection between clay and man, profession and its pursuer.
